- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of L(+) potassium lactate. This standard applies to L(+) lactic acid produced by fermentation of starch and sugar as raw materials, and L(+) potassium lactate for industrial use synthesized with potassium hydroxide or potassium carbonate.
