Scope: This standard specifies the general method for measuring chromaticity by visual colorimetry with platinum-cobalt standard solution as the standard color. This standard is applicable to the determination of the chromaticity of clear, transparent and light-colored liquid reagents whose hue is close to platinum-cobalt standard solution. When using this standard to measure chromaticity, the detection limit is 4 Hazen units. This standard does not apply to the determination of easily carbonized substances.
