Scope
This standard specifies the method for identifying the crystal morphology and chemical composition of authigenic clay minerals in sedimentary rocks using scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. This standard is mainly used for identification and analysis of common authigenic clay minerals in petroleum and natural gas sedimentary rocks. The identification and analysis of other authigenic clay minerals can be carried out by reference.
