- This standard specifies two methods for determining the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in vulcanized rubber. Method A is proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and method B is gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in vulcanized rubber, and is also suitable for the determination of the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in tires.
