Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the content of free hydrolyzed formaldehyde or released formaldehyde in textiles using gas chromatography-electron capture detector (GC-ECD). This standard applies to textiles with formaldehyde content between 5 mg/kg and 1 000 mg/kg.
