- Scope
- This standard specifies the sampling, sample corrosion methods, defect classification, assessment and inspection reports for low magnification dendritic structure defect rating of continuous cast steel billets. This standard is applicable to the low-magnification dendrite structure defect rating of carbon steel, low alloy steel, alloy structural steel and other billets produced by the continuous casting process with a side length of no more than 600mm. Rectangular blanks, round blanks and special-shaped blanks can also be used as a reference.
