Scope

This standard specifies the hot acid corrosion method, cold acid corrosion method (including dendritic corrosion method) and electrolytic corrosion method for inspecting the low-magnification structure and defects of steel. This standard is applicable to the acid etching inspection of the low-magnification structure and defects of steel. The acid etch inspection of other materials may refer to this standard.
