- This standard specifies the sampling and sample corrosion methods, defect classification, assessment and inspection reports for the rating of low-magnification dendritic structure defects in continuous cast steel slabs. This standard is applicable to the low-magnification dendrite structure defect rating of carbon steel, low alloy steel, and alloy steel structural steel slabs with a thickness of no more than 300mm produced by the continuous casting process.
