Scope
This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of sand, investment, permanent mold, and composite mold castings. Primarily for components requiring high strength combined with good ductility and impact strength. Certain design and processing procedures may cause these castings to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking.
