Scope
This part specifies the safety and environmental requirements related to the operation, maintenance, overhaul of refrigeration systems, as well as the recovery, reuse and disposal of all types of refrigerants, refrigerant oils, heat transfer media, refrigeration systems and their components. The provisions of this section are intended to minimize personal injury and damage to property and the environment caused by refrigerant leakage due to system damage caused by improper refrigerant handling or contaminants. Certain clauses and sub-clauses of this section do not apply to unitary unit systems, integrated systems and field-built systems with a refrigerant charge of not more than 3 kg. These clauses and sub-clauses are: 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2 ,3.3,4.1.1~4.1.4,4.2,4.3.1,4.3.3,5.6. For these systems, necessary maintenance matters should be described in the instruction manual. If maintenance is necessary, contact the nearest authorized repair service center.
