- This standard specifies safety and environmental requirements related to the operation, maintenance, overhaul of refrigeration systems and the recovery, reuse and disposal of all types of refrigerants. Designed to reduce personal injury caused by refrigerant leakage due to improper refrigerant handling or system damage. and damage to property and the environment. Certain clauses and sub-clauses of this standard are not applicable to unit unit systems, overall systems and field-built systems whose refrigerant charge reaches the following data: L1 group refrigerant 2.5kg; L2 group refrigerant 1.5kg; L3 group refrigeration agent 1.0kg.
