Scope

This standard specifies two test methods for determining the stain-removability of textiles using the washing method and the wiping method, and provides evaluation indicators for the stain-removability. This standard applies to all types of textiles and their products. Depending on the product type and use, one or both methods may be chosen. Test results obtained using different contaminants and methods are not comparable.
