- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the heat loss of plasticizers under hot air conditions. This standard is suitable for the quantitative determination of plasticizer loss in plastics. When this standard is used to quantitatively determine the plasticizer loss of plasticized plastics when heated, it is generally assumed that there are not a large number of other volatile substances in the plastic being tested. When this standard is used to compare different plasticizers, compounds should be prepared using well-defined resins and known proportions of plasticizers.
