Scope: This standard specifies the general principles and procedures for the preparation of thermoplastic molded specimens and test pieces, which can be obtained from test pieces by machining or stamping. In order to obtain reproducible molded parts, the main processing steps including four different cooling methods are standard. For each material, the molding temperature and cooling method required for molding shall be in accordance with the relevant international standards for the material or agreed upon by the interested parties.
