Scope

This part specifies the general requirements that standard sample producers should follow when demonstrating their operational capabilities. Only when these requirements are met can they be recognized as having the ability to engage in the production of standard samples. This part applies to standard sample producers to establish and operate their management systems for quality, administrative and technical operations, and also applies to standard sample customers, statutory management agencies and accreditation bodies to confirm and recognize the ability of standard sample producers. This section specifies the management system requirements that the reference sample production should meet, which is an integral part of the reference sample producer's overall quality assurance (QA) program. 1.4 This standard covers the production of certified and non-certified reference samples. The production requirements for non-certified standard samples are not as strict as those for certified standard samples. This part specifies the minimum requirements for the production of non-certified standard samples.
