Scope
Personnel using this standard should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This standard does not address all possible safety issues. It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national laws and regulations. Scope: This standard specifies a method for determining the average relative molecular mass of petroleum oils from viscosity measurements. This standard applies to petroleum samples with an average relative molecular mass in the range of 250 to 700, including common petroleum fractions. This standard does not apply to those oils with abnormal composition or relatively narrow range of molecular mass.
