This standard stipulates that the mercury method and the thermal conductivity method are the basic determination methods for the content of diffusible hydrogen in deposited metal. This standard is applicable to the determination of diffusible hydrogen content in martensite, bainite and ferrite welds welded by electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding, solid wire gas shielded arc welding and flux cored wire arc welding.
