Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general principles, condition assessment and maintenance of buildings or structures, cathodic protection systems, installation procedures, trial operation, system records and documents, operation and maintenance of cathodic protection of steel bars in atmospheric environments. This standard applies to the cathodic protection of steel bars in concrete in atmospheric environments.
