This standard specifies two methods for measuring the density of rubber using a direct-reading density meter. Method A uses a mechanical direct-reading density meter to measure, and method B uses an electronic direct-reading density meter to measure. This standard is applicable to the determination of solid rubber with a density greater than 1.00g/cm³, and is not applicable to the determination of the density of porous rubber and hard rubber.
