- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for lightning arrester monitoring devices. This standard applies to monitoring devices for metal oxide arresters (hereinafter referred to as arresters), including arrester monitors and arrester discharge counters (hereinafter referred to as monitors and counters respectively).
