Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the test methods, equipment and materials, test procedures, test reports and results examples required for the 12m drop test in the chemical hazard classification test. This standard is applicable to determine whether a test unit (article, packaged article or packaged substance other than a homogeneous liquid) can withstand the impact of free fall without significant fire or explosion hazard. This standard does not apply to tests to assess whether packages will withstand impact.
