This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for the determination of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (α-linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)) in eggs and egg products. This standard applies to eggs and egg products. The minimum detection limits of this standard are: α-linolenic acid 0.5mg/100g, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 1.0mg/100g, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) 1.0mg/100g. The linear range of the standard solution of this method is 0.01mg/mL~1.0mg/mL.
