Scope: This part of GB/T 19661 specifies the general safety requirements for nuclear instruments and systems, including general principles, protection against electric shock, overload protection for radiation protection instruments, decontamination of nuclear instruments, protection against other hazards, safety signs and accompanying documents. This part applies to the research and development, design, production, inspection, storage, transportation, installation, use and maintenance of nuclear instruments and systems (hereinafter referred to as nuclear instruments); it also applies to the determination of "safety requirements" in nuclear instrument product standards. For nuclear instruments with special safety requirements, the relevant safety standards should also be followed.
