Scope
This standard specifies the personnel, equipment and equipment requirements, methods and weld quality classification for ultrasonic testing of ship steel welds. This standard is applicable to A-type pulse reflection manual contact ultrasonic testing of ferritic steel full penetration welds with a base metal thickness of 8 mm to 150 mm. For thin plates with a base metal thickness of 6 mm to <8 mm, please refer to this standard. Standard testing. This standard does not apply to cast steel and austenitic stainless steel welds, cylinder longitudinal welds with an outer diameter less than 250 mm and a ratio of inner and outer diameters less than 0.7, cylinder circumferential welds with an outer diameter less than 200 mm, various sizes Intersecting welds on curved surfaces.
