Scope: This standard specifies the acceptance levels for magnetic particle inspection indications of imperfections in ferromagnetic steel welds. This acceptance level is used primarily for manufacturing inspections and, if deemed appropriate, for in-service inspections. The acceptance level in this standard is based on the detection capability expected to be achieved by using the methods specified in GB/T 26951 and the parameters recommended in Appendix A. The acceptance level is related to welding standards, technical conditions or regulations, etc. Further information on the acceptance levels shown can be found in the product or application standard.
