Scope

This specification specifies the requirements for material selection, design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance of petrochemical steel tower vessels. This specification is applicable to the design of skirt self-supporting towers with a design pressure not greater than 35MPa, a height greater than 10m, and a ratio of height to diameter greater than 5. This specification does not apply to the design of the following towers: towers with pulling devices; towers with non-metallic linings; rows of towers and tower groups integrated by operating platforms; towers with jackets.
