Scope: This standard applies to firemen's lifts with fire-proof vestibules. 2 This standard does not apply to: a) double-deck car elevators; b) elevators already installed in existing buildings; c) major modifications to existing elevators installed before the implementation of this standard; d) elevators with two entrances and exits, And the fire-proof front room of the firefighter elevator is not set on the same side as the fire-proof front room on the fire service access floor. However, this standard can also be used as a basis. 3 This standard involves major hazards, dangerous states and events related to the use of firefighter lifts for the purpose and under the conditions expected by the manufacturer. 4 This standard applies to new firefighter lifts installed in new buildings after the implementation of this standard. 5 The fireman's lift that can be used for firefighting and evacuation purposes under the control of firefighters shall comply with the relevant requirements of GB 7588-2003 and GB 21240-2007 in addition to this standard. 6 This standard does not consider the use of lifts with partially enclosed shafts as fireman's lifts. If the fire eventually penetrates the fire-resistant vestibule, this standard is no longer applicable.
