- Scope
- This standard stipulates the relevant requirements for the correct selection, installation and use of residual current protective devices (hereinafter referred to as residual current protective devices, RCD for short) and their operation management. This standard is applicable to power supply and consumption systems whose operating voltage is AC 50Hz or 60Hz, and the rated voltage does not exceed 230/400 (220/380) V, and the neutral point of the power supply is directly grounded. This standard does not apply to the protection of electric shock accidents, electrical equipment damage or electrical fire accidents that occur between phases or between phases and N wires.
