This standard stipulates the relevant requirements for the correct selection, installation and use of residual current operated protective devices (Residual Current operated protective Devices, RCD for short) and their operation management. This standard applies to AC power supply systems with a rated voltage not exceeding 400 V. This standard does not apply to the protection of electric shock accidents between phases or between phases and N wires, damage to electrical equipment or electrical fire accidents.
