Scope: This standard specifies the principles, definitions, symbols and descriptions of the compression test method for metallic materials at room temperature, sample and its size measurement, test equipment, test requirements, performance measurement, rounding off of measurement results, and test reports. This standard is applicable to the determination of the specified non-proportional compressive strength, specified total compressive strength, upper compressive yield strength, lower compressive yield strength, compressive elastic modulus and compressive strength of metal materials under unidirectional compression at room temperature.
