Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and nomenclature, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of household and similar reverse osmosis water purifiers. This standard applies to drinking water quality treatment equipment that uses municipal tap water or other centralized water supplies as raw water and reverse osmosis membranes as the main purification components for use in households or similar places.
