Scope: This document describes the methods for measuring the activity concentration of total alpha radioactivity, the activity concentration of total beta radioactivity, the mass concentration of uranium, and the activity concentration of 226Ra in drinking water and/or source water. This document is applicable to the determination of the total alpha radioactive activity concentration of alpha radionuclides (excluding nuclides that are volatile under the conditions specified in this document), beta radionuclides (not included in this document) in drinking water and/or water sources. The total beta radioactive activity concentration of volatile nuclides under the conditions specified in the document, the mass concentration of uranium and the activity concentration of 226Ra. For reference use in determining total alpha radioactivity, total beta radioactivity, uranium and 226Ra in brine and mineralized water.
