This standard specifies the method for measuring the resistance of pneumatic tires and solid tires under load on a special measuring device. The static charge on the vehicle usually needs to be discharged through the tires, and the electrical resistance of the tire is in turn a measure of the ability of the tire to discharge the static charge of the vehicle. This standard specifies the measuring devices, measuring conditions and measuring methods, so as to accurately measure the tire resistance not exceeding 1012 Ω. Appendix C presents reference specifications on tire resistance limits. Appendix D specifies the direct measurement of tire resistance on vehicles. Annex E specifies a simplified measurement method for tire resistance suitable for production quality monitoring. This standard applies to the measurement of the resistance of pneumatic tires and solid tires.
