This part specifies the test conditions, test procedures and environmental test marks for drip and rain tests. This section applies to optical instruments, instruments incorporating optical components and optical components. The purpose of this section is to study the extent to which the optical, thermal, mechanical, chemical and electrical properties of the sample are affected by dripping water and rain.
