Scope
This document describes environmental test methods for optical and photonic contamination testing. Note: The meaning of "contamination" in this document is the contact of corrosive chemical substances 1) (hereinafter referred to as "reagents") with optical and photonic instruments. This document applies to optical and photonic instruments, including contamination tests from other fields (such as mechanical, chemical and electronic equipment). This document is not intended to be used as a normal production control.
