- Scope
- This part of GB/T 16823 specifies the conditions for the torque-clamping force test of threaded fasteners and related parts. This standard is mainly applicable to bolts, screws, studs and nuts made of carbon steel and alloy steel with thread specifications from M3 to M39. Its mechanical properties shall comply with GB/T 3098.1, GB/T 3098.2 or GB/T 3098.4 respectively. This section is also applicable to other internal and external threaded fastener connection pairs in accordance with ISO 68-1. This section does not apply to set screws and similar non-tension threaded fasteners, nor does it apply to threaded fasteners with locking properties, self-tapping or self-extrusion. Unless otherwise agreed, the test was carried out at room temperature. The standard test conditions are 10°C to 35°C. The method specified in this standard can determine the fastening characteristics of threaded fasteners and related parts.
