Scope: This standard specifies the general technical requirements for the service conditions, ratings, design and structure, test, and equipment selection guidelines of high-voltage DC disconnectors and earthing switches, so as to unify the basic design and test requirements of the equipment and ensure the safe operation of the system. This standard applies to isolating switches and earthing switches designed to be installed indoors and outdoors and operating in high-voltage DC systems of ±800kV or below. This standard also applies to the operating mechanisms and auxiliary devices of these disconnectors and earthing switches.
