Scope
This part of GB/T 21412 specifies the requirements for the design, material selection, manufacture, design verification, test, installation and operation of underwater control systems, chemical agent injection, gas lift, public umbilical cables and related ancillary equipment, and gives Recommended practice for use in the oil and gas industry. This part of GB/T 21412 applies to umbilical cables of individual cables, optical fibers, thermoplastic hoses or metal pipes, or their combination. This standard applies to static or dynamic running umbilicals whose paths may be overwater-overwater, overwater-underwater and subsea-underwater. This section does not apply to related component joints, unless these joints affect the performance of the umbilical or its associated equipment.
