Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements for the functional requirements, structure, performance, installation and testing of the side-entry mixer body, its drive motor, and auxiliary equipment systems. This standard applies to absorption tower side-entry mixers used in flue gas desulfurization projects in coal-fired power plants, including performance requirements, basic requirements, parts requirements, etc. Side-entry mixers of accidental slurry tanks may be implemented with reference to this standard.
