This specific standard specifies the specific requirements for the safety of gamma beam therapy equipment used for radiotherapy purposes in human medical practice. Applies to equipment that uses sealed radioactive sources to deliver gamma beams at a normal treatment distance (NTD) greater than 5 cm; also applies to multi-source stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy equipment. Applicable to: equipment used by operators with special medical application skills and in accordance with the instructions for use under the supervision of authorized or qualified personnel; equipment repaired in predetermined cycles; equipment routinely inspected by the user; Specially prescribed clinical application equipment.
