Scope
Supplement: This specific standard specifies the specific requirements for the safety of dosimeters defined in Article 2.104 for medical operations in the patient environment during radiotherapy. Note: Dosimeters not used in the patient environment are not included in the scope of this standard, which should meet the requirements of GB 4793.1 1995. The provisions of this standard concerning electrical safety, health and disinfection requirements apply to any dosimeter that is in contact with a patient's body (not in electrical contact) and has an electrically connected radiation detector. The performance requirements reported in IEC 60731 apply only to dosimeters using ionization chambers as radiation detectors. This specific standard does not involve the dose monitoring system in radiotherapy equipment.
