- This standard specifies the method for detecting common defects such as cracks, holes and local looseness of copper-tungsten electrical contacts, interface cracks and inclusions, copper end cracks and pores of copper-tungsten electrical contacts by penetrant testing. This standard applies to the detection of open defects of copper-tungsten electrical contacts and copper-tungsten integral electrical contacts. This standard does not apply to the detection of sealing defects of copper-tungsten electrical contacts and copper-tungsten integral electrical contacts.
