Scope
This standard specifies the symbols and descriptions, principles, test equipment, samples, test procedures and test reports for the determination of hydrogen embrittlement critical stress value and critical stress intensity value in steel by step-by-step adding force method. This standard is applicable to the quantitative evaluation of the susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement of steel, or the influence of residual hydrogen in steel produced by smelting, thermal processing, surface treatment and other processing processes and hydrogen outside the environment on steel properties.
