- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, measurement equipment, measurement procedures, determination of calibration coefficients, test reports, etc. for the determination of residual stress on the surface of metal materials by the indentation strain method. This standard is applicable to the determination of surface residual stress of various metal materials with a hardness not greater than 50 HRC.
