Scope: This standard specifies the basic requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of welded parts of metal cutting machine tools (hereinafter referred to as machine tools). This standard applies to metal cutting machine tool weldments made of carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel and stainless steel by manual arc welding or gas shielded welding.
