Scope

This standard specifies the hardness test method for welded joints. This standard is applicable to arc welded joints of metal materials. The hardness test of other joint types (such as pressure-welded joints and surfacing metals) can also refer to this standard. This standard does not apply to the hardness test of austenitic stainless steel welds.
