Scope: This standard specifies the general requirements for cleaner production of ferroalloy enterprises in the steel industry. This standard divides the clean production indicators of ferroalloy enterprises in the steel industry into four categories, namely production process and equipment requirements, resource and energy utilization indicators, waste recycling indicators and environmental management requirements. This standard is applicable to the clean production audit and clean production of ferroalloy enterprises that use the electric furnace method to produce six types of products: ferrosilicon, high carbon ferromanganese, manganese silicon alloy, medium and low carbon ferromanganese, high carbon ferrochromium and medium, low and micro carbon ferrochromium. The judgment of potential and opportunities, cleaner production performance assessment, and cleaner production performance announcement system are also applicable to environmental management systems such as environmental impact assessment and pollution discharge permits.
