Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and quality certificates of manganese-silicon alloys. This standard applies to manganese-silicon alloys used as alloying agents, composite deoxidizers and desulfurizers for steelmaking and casting, and for smelting medium and low-carbon ferromanganese as reducing agents.
