This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, quality requirements and hygienic requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, labeling and identification of rice, as well as packaging, storage and transportation requirements. This standard applies to commercial rice purchased, stored, transported, processed and sold. This standard does not apply to special varieties of rice other than those specified in this standard.
