Scope: This standard describes a mathematical method for evaluating the total uncertainty of an automatic sampling system, which is applicable to an automatic sampling system for determining the water content in petroleum liquids transported by pipeline. Through the statistical method, the system uncertainty and random uncertainty of a series of independent subvariables defined in the "drawing" automatic sampling system are synthesized, and the mathematical model can evaluate its total uncertainty (tolerance) . The water content determination tolerances as a function of the number of sampling times, water content and water content analysis times are summarized in the form of graphs in this standard, as shown in Figures 6 to 11.
